Greetings!
Thank you for the wonderful response we received regarding the first issue of our E-News!
In this issue, we'd like to thank all of you for your incredible support with our June fundraisers. Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $4,800.00 for all our wonderful residents.
We have some great fundraisers going on in July and coming up in August, you'll want to mark your calendars now for Sunday, August 17th from 1:00pm-5:00pm. It's our annual Summer Open House and we'll be celebrating our 20th anniversary!
Of course don't miss our 'Resident Spotlight' - Both Suki and Byron are anxious to meet you!

STAF's Annual Book Sale - Whether you donated to the event, shopped at the event or told your family and friends about the event - THANK YOU! With your help we raised $3,000.00!
Go Bananas - What a fun event! A huge THANKS to all who attended and invited their family and friends! Because of all of you, we're on our way to raising over $1,100.00!
STAF Alumni Day - STAF's first Alumni Day was an INCREDIBLE success! We had approximately 120 people and 70 STAF Alumni dogs attending! A huge THANK YOU for joining us and making our first STAF Alunni Day a wonderful event!
Whole Foods (Wild Oats) Wooden Nickel Program - THANK YOU to everyone who shopped at Whole Foods (formerly Wild Oats) in Rookwood Commons over the past 6 months and donated your wooden nickels to STAF. With your help, we raised over $785.00! |
 STANLEY'S PUB 'ROCKIN' FOR ANIMALS' FUNDRAISER They'll be live music, a split-the-pot raffle and admission is only $5.00 with all proceeds from the door benefiting STAF!
Stanley's is located at 323 Stanely Avenue and the show begins at 9:30pm.

 PEDIGREE INTERIORS & STAF TEAM UP Donate your gently used furniture, artwork, rugs, lighting, accessories, accent pieces, and jewelry to the STAF account at Pedigree Interiors. When your item sells, 50% of the proceeds goes to STAF and 50% goes to UCAN, a low cost spay/neuter clinic. Pedigree Interiors is located in Montgomery at 9889 Montgomery Road.  RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT - SUKI Toss a tennis ball, and you'll see her energetic side - full of fun and ready play. It's as if she can't contain her excitement 'oh boy, a ball ..it's a ball.. I love tennis balls'! She may even play a little soccer with it before she brings it back to you
Then there's her affectionate side - a true lover of people - Suki wiggles with excitement when she sees you. A good scratch behind the ears and she'll lean her entire body into you - you've just become her best friend!
Suki is a Labrador Retriever mix and was brought to us from a county shelter with too many dogs, too little money, and the best of intentions. By bringing her to our shelter, we're hoping that this sweet girl finds her forever home.
Interested in meeting this beautiful blonde? Then stop by during STAF Adoptions - Thursday, 6pm-8pm, and Saturday, 1pm-4pm.

 RESIDENT SPOTLIGHT - BYRONByron, named for Lord Byron, came to STAF with his literary brothers and sisters on a Wednesday night unexpectedly.
Despite being new to the shelter environment, this little bundle of buff adorableness was ready for cuddles and a ride around the shelter on a volunteers shoulders. Now about nine months old, Byron is the last of his litter at the shelter and is currently residing in room 16. Byron has grown to be a big boy, but he is still as playful as ever.
Byron still enjoys hanging out on people's backs and shoulders, but is very kind to not dig in his nails as instead, he is too busy rubbing his head up against your neck. He is also the first one in the room to curl up in your lap if you take a moment to sit down with him in the room. He has a wonderful purr and will look up at you with his soulful eyes.
