Hits a Hole-in-One
with Annual Golf Outing
The Alumni Association held it's annual golf
outing at Greystone Golf Club on Fri., Aug. 12th. 19
teams played in the four person scramble. The guests
enjoyed a continental breakfast, lunch at the term and
buffet dinner that included a raffle with over 25
prizes. These included theatre tickets, golf gifts,
sports memorabilia and gift baskets filled with gourmet
foods. Now a non-dues based organization, proceeds from
the WCAA Golf Outing support alumni programming

Greening of Detroit

FREE to Attend
Join the WCAA for a volunteer event in partnership
the Greening of Detroit. Our group will be working
on a number of fall farm tasks from maintenance to
harvesting. You don't need to bring tools, but if
you have gardening gloves and water, please bring
them. It may still be hot, so please bring
protective sun clothing as well. Only
five spots remain for this event.

Meet the LaunchPad team and learn about the free
entrepreneurial services available. Also learn how to

The LaunchPad, which opened in fall 2010 , serves
students and alumni who aspire to entrepreneurship. Some
LaunchPad participants simply use networking linkages
and workshop offerings as they explore entrepreneurship
as a possible career option. Others seek help from
internal LaunchPad consulting to brainstorm or develop
their business idea.

PHR Exam Prep
Wed., Oct. 8th continues for eight weeks
Novi campus
HR professionals can now prepare for the PHR exam at
Walsh COllege. Attend our sessions for structured
classes with seasoned instructors and enhance your
learning and retention through peer interaction.
There are no admission requirements to take this
program, however specific criteria is required for

AINS Classes Now Offered Online
Walsh and partners Burns & Wilcox are now offerening
non-credit online classes for insurance
certifications. First Class: Property adn Liability
Insurance Principles, is the prerequisit for all
