Tips to Help You Develop
a Positive LinkedIn Image
It's not enough to just have a LinkedIn profile. It will be well worth your effort to put a little time into creating a simple yet complete profile that tells a positive story about you. Each month I will give you 5 tips to insure you are developing a positive LinkedIn image.
- Have a professional photo taken. LinkedIn is a professional business tool. Don't lessen your credibility with a photo that does not send a positive, professional, I'm-ready-to-do-business look.
- Your Profile Summary is just that: a summary not a full autobiography. Keep it short and simple; people are not likely to read more than one or two short paragraphs.
- Think about your readers and target market when developing your profile. LinkedIn is for making connections; design your profile to have the impact you want on those connections.
- Complete all the sections of the profile. Include education, skills, experience, contact information, specialties, websites, etc. The more complete your profile the more LinkedIn can work on your behalf.
- Ask for referrals. If clients or customers are happy with your product or service ask them to connect on LinkedIn and write a short testimonial about their positive experience. If applicable, return a referral for them.

Guide to Fall Fashion Trends 2011
50's influence
with a modern twist
This Description says it all -
"As designers sought inspiration in echoes of the past, retro influences and lush textures emerged as the important trends on fashion runways for fall 2011. An intense focus on sumptuous and lavish fabrics highlighted the weightless luxury of the softest cashmere, the richness of fine wools, and the sheer indulgence of buttery leathers. The predominant palette embraced deep, autumnal browns, crimson reds, and rich golds, with accents of neutrals and heathered grays. A myriad of vintage influences were at work in the fall 2011 designer collections. Ethereal silks and tailored satins evoked 1940s glamour; textures and shapes recalled 1950s grace and 1960s chic - all with an updated, modern sensibility."
