I have been visiting China for 20 years and lived there for over a year. However, it had been ten years since my last trip and the changes made for a shocking adventure. With its shiny marble floors and shinier Starbucks, the Beijing airport could have easily been mistaken for the Denver airport. Preparing for a brutal customs process was unnecessary: three people in front of me and I couldn't believe I was done! Then I looked outside and winced at the amount of pollution. I visited some friends and experienced the changing economic boom and the repercussions at a human level, less community and more "I have to take care of myself" capitalistic style of thinking.

I attended a coach training offered by Top Human (Talent of People), a company led by a dynamic woman named Eva Wong. She has 14 offices across China with a staff of 700, has trained 130,000 business people in her method, and has plans to go public in the NASDAQ next year. She also co- sponsored a fascinating and meaningful international conference based on corporate social responsibility. I left the training inspired and with an expanded vision for AsOne Coaching Institute.
