From 11 AM - 1 PM on Wednesday, Dec. 16 the
Whittier Chamber (8158 Painter Ave.) will be hosting
an Open House to bid farewell to Chamber staff
member Rebecca Bell. Although dissapointed to
be leaving the Chamber community, Rebecca is
looking forward to her January 2010 wedding with
husband-to-be Mike, who is serving with the U.S. Army
in Iraq. Rebecca and Mike will be relocating to their
next military station in January.
All Chamber members are invited to the Open House
to help us say goodbye to Rebecca! For information

THUR., DEC. 17, 11 AM: NEWLIN PROJECT RIBBON CUTTING
|

7916 Newlin Ave., Whittier
At 11 AM on Thursday, December 17, community
members are invited to attend an open house and
celebration of the Newlin Project (7916 Newlin Ave.).
The Newlin Project is a partnership effort through
the highly-acclaimed First Day recovery from
homelessness program. The Newlin Project and
its "Keeping Families Together" mantra were made
possible through the generous support of L.A. County
Supervisor Don Knabe, the City of Whittier, the
McCabe Foundation and PIH. A reception will
follow at 12 noon at First Day (12426 Whittier
Blvd.).

amazing display of light, life, drama, dance, music,
