As mentioned in previous "Whittier Chamber...At A Glance" e-newsletters, the City of Whittier recently approved a local economic stimulus plan designed to assist businesses during the current economy. As part of this plan, the City of Whittier will be hosting several business assistance workshops which will engage local businesses with information and tools to help them survive and thrive.

The first of these will be a Public Bid workshop, in which attendees will learn how to take advantage of opportunities to contract business with the City of Whittier, presented by the City of Whittier Assistant Director of Public Works. This workshop will take place on August 6, 8:30 - 10:00 AM at the Whittier City Council Chambers (13230 Penn St., Whittier).
