Soroptimist Showcase of Stars: May 6, 6 PM @ Shannon Center
Soroptimist International of Whittier's annual
Showcase of Stars: "Laugh Out Loud" is slated for May
6 at 6 p.m. at the Shannon Center for the Performing
Arts (6760 Painter Ave., Whittier) This popular
event takes on a retro twist this year as the local
service organization invites you to "Laugh Out Loud"
with an evening of laughs, prizes and important
fundraising. The event will feature exciting silent
auction gifts, cocktails, and a hilarious showcase of
local personalities caught in crazy antics.
Tickets for the Showcase of Stars: "Laugh Out

JOIN THE CHAMBER'S RELAY FOR LIFE TEAM!

First meeting to be held on May 12, 12 noon @ Chamber office (8158 Painter Ave.)
All Chamber members are invited to be part of our
2009 Relay for Life team! The Relay for Life is a
community fundraiser for the American Cancer
Society. The fundraising culminates in a 24-hour relay
held at California High School on June 20 - 21.
The Chamber's team supports those in our Chamber
community who have been touched by cancer while
building business relationships in a fun, team setting.
This is an excellent way to share your business story
with your teammates!
Our first team meeting will be held on Tuesday, May
12th at 12 NOON in the Whittier Chamber office - bring
your lunch and an enthusiastic friend! For more
