The Whittier Area Chamber of Commerce is now preparing for the 11th Annual Silver Shield Awards Banquet. The event will be held on February 20, 2009 at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort (One Industry Hills Pkwy., City of Industry, CA 91744).

The Silver Shield Awards Banquet salutes the officers of the Whittier Police Department, honoring the brave men and women who have taken an oath to serve and protect our community. All Chamber members are invited and encouraged to attend this elegant evening and enjoy a full-course dinner and the opportunity to thank those who serve our community. Tickets are $80 per person.

For those who cannot attend, you can still show your appreciation by becoming a Friend Sponsor, which pays for one officer to attend the event. A Friend Sponsorship is only $100 and includes recognition in the event program and in other Chamber venues.
