Intercommunity Counseling Center (ICC) will celebrate the grand opening of its new facilities Tuesday, November 18 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to join the City Council representatives, local businesspeople and Chamber of Commerce officials who have been invited to this special event. ICC is an important community player in Whittier, offering quality counseling services at a sliding-scale rate for area patrons. Tuesday, Nov. 25 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m., the Whittier Chamber will host its monthly Tasty Tuesday networking lunch at Firehouse Grill. The Whittier City Council is seeking applicants to fill a vacancy on the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission advises the City Council concerning the General Plan; make recommendations to the City Council on subdivisions, zoning, and land use matters; and hears requests for zone changes, variances, conditional use permits and development review applications.
