At 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Whittier Hospital will be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the addition of a safer crosswalk connecting the hospital to the parking structure. The new crosswalk is located on Janine Dr. between Colima Dr. and La Serna Dr.

The Honorable Dave Perez, Mayor of the City of Industry, invites all Whittier Chamber members to a multi-organizational mixer to learn more about the proposed professional football stadium in the City of Industry. John Semcken, Vice President of Majestic Realty will present the many aspects of the proposed stadium and its possible impact on the local community.

The mixer will take place in the Colonial Room, Upper Level, at the Pacific Palms Resort (One Industry Hills Pkwy., City of Industry, CA 91744). There is no fee to attend. Drinks and refreshments will be provided by Majestic Realty.

From 5 PM - 7 PM Thursday, area residents are invited to an open house at Beverly Hospital. The Hospital will be unveiling its digital mammogram system, the most advanced breast cancer screening technology available.

The celebration will include music, refreshments, hors d'oeuvres, and information about breast cancer and cancer prevention. City officials and Chamber of Commerce representatives from Pico Rivera, Whittier and Montebello have all been invited.

The Printing Shop invites the community to a ribbon cutting and open house on Friday at 9 AM. The Printing Shop offers color printing for business cards, postcards, letterhead, posters, menus and more! The Printing Shop also produces magnetic signs for vehicles, fax and mailing services and stickers. Most recently, The Printing Shop saw the addition of a United States Post Office Contract Unit at their facilities, which offers all postal services at regular postal rates.
