After 75 years serving the Whittier-area, the Rio Hondo Symphony will be opening an administrative office this week in the Uptown area (7740 Painter Ave.). Whittier Chamber members, employees, friends and family are all invited to get a behind-the-scenes look at the Symphony's new space at a May 6th Ribbon Cutting. All Whittier Chamber members and their employees are invited to the annual Kaleidoscope 5- Chamber Mixer & Silent Auction on May 8, 4:30-8 PM. Benefitting CAPC, Inc., this mixer offers 5-times the networking with businesspeople from the Whittier, La Mirada, Pico Rivera, Santa Fe Springs and Norwalk Chambers represented.

This mixer is completely FREE to Whittier Chamber members and will feature hearty hors d'oeuvres, a no- host bar and awesome entertainment! There will also be high-ticket silent auction items and raffle opportunities for airline tickets, cash and more!

The "Royal Relayers of the Whittier Chamber" are celebrating those who have survived cancer, remembering those who have passed, and supporting the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society. While raising important funds, the team is also doing a great deal of networking and relationship-building as members work on team projects together. Additionally, the Whittier Kumon Center will be supporting the Relay for Life by sponsoring area children to read. The Whittier Kumon Center will donate $1 to the Relay per book each child reads between May 19-26. Not only will this program raise funds for cancer research, but it will also encourage reading among area children.
