A hearty, healthy welcome to a new decade!
I hear it everywhere that I go - people are excited about putting 2009 behind and moving ahead to a new year. As a licensed and certified Wellness Coach, I am often asked for suggestions for starting 2010 in a healthy way. Here are thoughts that I've found to be helpful or inspirational that you might find beneficial:

- Every morning, take 3-5 minutes to write out your 10 top goals in the present tense. Use a designated notebook. By writing out your top 10 goals at the beginning of the day, you program them into your subconscious mind. Chances are, you'll get to them, but even if you don't, you'll be able to review them the next day when you start your list.
- Do you have a "stop doing" list? If so, what's on it?

Here's 3 easy ways to use 1 lb. of chicken, each with only 3 easy steps!
Start by cooking all of the chicken using this recipe for Salsa Chicken:
2 cups your favorite tomato salsa (fresh or bottled)
1 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp. NutriFit Calypso Salt Free Spice Blend
1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil

- Wash the chicken and season with 1 tsp. of the seasoning blend. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil.
- Add the chicken to the hot skillet, brown for 3 minutes on each side. Reduce the heat.
- Add the salsa, celery, onion and remaining Calypso blend. Bring mixture to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve one third of this with rice for dinner one night.
