Arts Partners

The Arts Partners and Theatre Buddies programs were created by the Prairie Center Arts Foundation to meet an important need in the community. Despite the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts' ongoing commitment to keep ticket prices at affordable levels, there are always people in a community who cannot afford those prices no matter how reasonable they may seem to others. There are also those whose special needs make it more difficult for them to have access to the arts and culture.

Your gift will help the foundation share the arts through these essential programs.
A Giving Year in 2009

Nutcracker GivingIn December, 2009, the Foundation donated 185 tickets for The Nutcracker and the Schaumburg Youth Orchestra's Presto! Holiday Concert. The tickets were distributed through community agencies such as WINGS, Ups for Downs, Kenneth Young Center, the Learning for Life program and the Schaumburg Senior Barn
The Foundation also provided 881 tickets for at risk students from Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates and Rolling Meadows to attend the Center Stage performances at the Prairie Center.

The Theatre Buddies and Arts Partners programs bring people to the arts and the arts to people, contributing to the quality of life in Schaumburg and surrounding communities.

Help make 2010 an even more rewarding experience for the people who enjoy the performing arts.
