Schaumburg Youth Symphony OrchestraAwarded 2008 Youth Orchestra of the Year by the Illinois Council of Orchestras, the SYSO has brought symphonic music to the community and throughout the world for 20 years.

The exceptional ensemble of 65 young musicians will present a program of holiday favorites, from old folk melodies such as Greensleeves to classical works including Waltz of the Flowers from the Nutcracker and Bizet's Farandole from L'Arlesienne.  Other works include Sleigh Ride, a German Carol Festival and music from Humperdinck's opera Hansel and Gretel.

The 11-member choral ensemble Jubilus joins the orchestra for selected pieces, including "Fum, Fum, Fum," "Festival of Carols," and a Grinch Medley.

Christmas with Grandpa

And what's the holidays without a little family get together?  Danny and Emily's parents need a last-minute babysitter for them, so it's off to grandfather's house they go for a lighthearted holiday adventure.  Grandpa reluctantly supervises the children as they take turns introducing numbers and create a unique predicament that's sure to raise a chuckle.
