THE NUTCRACKER DEC. 4 - 13, 2009
Nutcracker
A Grand Tradition Continues at the Prairie Center
Dazzling colors, beautiful movement, and a dream-like tale bring magic to the Prairie Center's production of Tchaikovsky's grand ballet.
The Nutcracker

The gift of a nutcracker by the mysterious, benevolent toymaker Herr Drosselmeyer (who provides live narration thoughout the show) inspires a fantasy-filled voyage to a kingdom of leaping Russians, waltzing flowers and graceful snow maidens.

The cast of over 100 features professional dancers who have performed with prestigious companies including the Cincinnati Ballet, Kentucky Ballet, Joffrey Ballet Two, River North Dance, Hubbard Street Dance, and Giordano Jazz Dance.

Enhanced by beautiful costumes, striking sets, and special effects, the Nutcracker at the Prairie Center is a one-of-a-kind production that appeals to audiences of all ages.

See why families return year after year to see the Nutcracker!
