Film Institute and Chase. This Spring,
students from
City-As-School will learn social issue
documentary production - and make their own
films in this pilot workshop program. Thanks

Third World Newsreel and
NewFilmmakers Series are proud to present
Jeong-hyun Mun's Grandmother's Flower,
preceded by Asian Girls Empowerment through
Media (AGEM) shorts. Join us on Wednesday,
May 12th from 6-8PM.

When director Mun accidentally discovered the
diaries of his late granduncle, who was
mentally ill, he unexpectedly learned about
his family's secret history.

TWN has trained over 400 film and video
artists of color in the past 30 years through
its annual TWN Film & Video Production
Workshop. In 2009, with the support of the
Asian Women Giving Circle, TWN presented the
AGEM Summer Workshop, a program of media
literacy and production where 12 Asian young
women produced five videos. Join us for a
screening shorts by AGEM students: Erica

Farnham, Michelle Kwong, Silas Luk, Linda

programs in many genres including

national public television broadcast.

television projects at the research and
