Kore Available on
DVD
An experimental short about AIDS and
blindness. This video reminds viewers that
AIDS patients face both the possibility of
vision loss and society's blindness towards
ethnic, gender and sexual difference.
Kore presents the need for medical

while exploring erotica, seduction, sight and
blindness.

Morir Por Amor: Latinas and AIDS
Available on
DVD
In this docudrama, Maria suspects that her
husband
is being unfaithful and is concerned about
the risks of
getting infected with HIV. Maria's story is
juxtaposed with interviews with women in
Argentina,
Brazil, Dominican Republic, and the United
States as they reflect on the increasing
number of
women living with HIV/AIDS. Morir por
Amor: Latinas
and
AIDS avoids representing Latina women as
victims.
Instead, it shows how women, in fiction and
reality,
can become active agents of change.

Testing the Limits Available on
DVD
In 1987, the Ronald Reagan administration faced
criticism from AIDS activists for its
mismanagement of
the AIDS crisis. Chanting "Test drugs, not
people"
and "Educate, don't isolate", activist groups
took
to the
streets of New York City to denounce mandatory
testing as a discriminatory practice and to
demand
more HIV/AIDS research and educational
initiatives.
Shot
by the Testing the Limits Collective, this
video is an
informative record of the early struggles
against the
federal government's inaction over the
HIV/AIDS epidemic.
