| New Schedule: TWN Wednesday Night Seminars
Please note that the Techno
Organizing workshop has been
rescheduled to Tuesday, November 27, 2007.
We hope this does not cause any inconvenience
for anyone!
11/14 Getting the Funds-Proposal
Writing
A nuts and bolts approach on how to write a
winning proposal and package your production
idea to get that funding! Facilitated by TWN
Executive Director Dorothy Thigpen, with a
guest filmmaker.
11/27 Techno Organizing
From basic to brilliant, a workshop exploring
the benefits of using technology to organize
information and resources over traditional
approaches. In the spirit of the pioneers who
utilized new technology to create art (DJ,
Aerosol Artist & Producer), the course of
this workshop demystifies using the new age
of Web 2.0 online services instead of desktop
applications, and details how storing data
online rather than onto one's desktop or
laptop hard drive can help with the overall
effectiveness and value of the information
being created, stored and/or distributed
among the community. Taught by Rolando Brown
of the Hip Hop Association.
11/28 Production Planning
The "how-to's" on planning your production -
from A-Z, pre-production to post-production,
including
templates of different budgets, and much more
- planning forms and handouts. Taught by
Producer/Professor Ann Bennett.
