Rescue Kittens for Adoption
Over the pa st few weeks quite a few of these adorable little kittens (several pictured here) have found their way to TVV. As with most rescue pets - we will probably never know where their journey began, however they are now in the hands of a devoted team of people who are committed to finding each and every one a loving, forever home. If you are interested in adopting one of TVV rescue kittens, the adoption process is as follows: Most kit tens have received their first booster vaccine - at which time they were examined by a veterinarian, tested for leukemia and feline FIV, as well as treated for external and intestinal parasites. There will not be an adoption fee however you will be responsible for the remaining vet services each kitten will need. (See article below.) TVV will provide the remaining vet services at our usual low-cost rescue prices - this includes vaccines, spays and neuters. Most kittens are not living at TVV - they are in foster homes until they are adopted into permanent homes. For inquiries please send emails through the link below. TVV Rescue Kittens

A Purr-fect Kitten Exam

Dr. Deva Prather, of TVV Lilburn-Stone Mtn.says ...
Con gratulations, you just brought home your first kitten! Taking your new kitten for its initial veterinary visit is important in maintaining a healthy and happy pet. It is recommended to bring your kitten to the veterinarian around four to six weeks of age, or sooner if there is a problem. Kittens are then seen every two to four weeks until sixteen weeks of age, followed by annual visits.
This is what to expect from your first veterinary visit ...

TVV Protocol For Prescription Requests

To provide the most accurate, efficient and reliable process for handling our clients' individual prescription requests, we have set up the following protocol for each of our hospitals.
Prescription requests received by 12:00 PM will be ready for pick-up after 4:00 PM the same day. Prescription requests received after 12:00 PM will be ready for pick-up after 12:00 PM the next day. Please note: There may be circumstances in which additional time is needed to process a particular request, at which time we will advise that client accordingly.
We have always made every effort to be prompt in fulfilling all client requests, but never at the risk of compromising the welfare of your pet. With this in mind, whenever possible it is advised to phone in your prescription request(s) 24 to 48 hours prior to running out of your pet's medication.
