The Village Vets Merging with AECD in 2011
Dr. Stacy Returns and Holiday Pet Tips . . . | December 2010 |
|
Greetings!
What a great year 2010 has been! We've enjoyed caring for you and your pets.
My "Best of 2010" is when we started our Rescue Recovery Plan, where we provided free spays and neuters for rescue groups to help them in this challenging economy. I am incredibly happy to report that since starting the program this past June, we have performed over 500 courtesy spay/neuter procedures! We are incredibly proud of that statistic- and will be looking forward to doubling that number in 2011.
You, too, can help in the rescue effort by offering a donation to our Rescue Relief Fund. Donations to this fund are used for surgical procedures, medical care, and medication for rescued pets, not sponsored by a rescue group, and toward our efforts to find them homes. There are so many animals who need our help and the holiday season is a great time to do it. Click here to make a donation.
Sincerely,
Will Draper, DVM The Village Vets

The Village Vets' AAHA Accreditation |
On December 6, 2010, The Village Vets again received accreditation following a comprehensive evaluation by American Animal Hospital Association. To earn and retain our AAHA accreditation, The Village Vets must pass a stringent evaluation, every two years, that includes a quality assessment of our hospitals' facility, medical equipment, practice methods and pet health care management.
Currently only 15 percent of all small animal veterinary practices in the U.S. have achieved accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. The Village Vets is proud to be a part of this select group of practices committed to meeting the highest standard of veterinary excellence.

| Holiday Pet Hazards | |
Of course the picture displayed is not real but believe it or not, this can, and has, happened to more than just a few curious pets during the Holiday Season. Because of this and our witness to quite a few results of unpredictable accidents, we do our best to make people aware of the various dangers that can present themselves during the holidays for our pets.
At the link below, the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) has provided a very thorough list of potential dangers pet owners should be aware of during the holidays, as well as throughout the year.
