Be a Change Agent:
Help Your Organization Score Big!

It is often said that education is behind business in almost every way. That includes the effect of the economy.  Today, everywhere I look I see articles about how school districts are hurting financially and cutting back on staff, programs, etc.

PPM APQC

A Solution

In the past few months, CILC has partnered with APQC, American Productivity and Quality Center, another not-for-profit.  Jack Grayson, CEO and Founder, began his organization 33 years ago to help business, military and healthcare organizations improve their processes, ultimately improving their outcomes.

APQC is now paying special attention to public education entities.

NORTH STAR PROJECT

This APQC project began last year as a pilot with 11 school districts from all around the country.  Since that time, these districts have saved a total of $17, 833,472 AND have increased the educational outcomes of their students through a methodology called, Process and Performance Management (PPM).

Be A Change Agent!

As video conferencing site coordinator, you sit in a unique position to influence and help your organization.  Engage others to attend any or all of three free webinars (see below) to learn more about APQC Education, PPM, and the North Star Project.  The webinars cost nothing and could gain your organization everything!

RISE to the occasion

1.  Register for one or all of these free webinars.

2.  Invite a group to participate with you.

3. Sweeten the pot!  Create a relaxed atmosphere by projecting the webinar so all can see and offering a cold/hot drink and a sweet treat.

4. Engage a good facilitator (someone who is interested in moving your organization forward) to facilitate the event on your end, including a discussion following the webinar to determine how or if you will explore North Star from this point forward.

Your Answer?

We at CILC know that APQC's Educations PPM methodology has been THE answer for many educational organizations.  Might they be the answer for your organization as well?

Solar Cooking Project

Rowena Gerber, Grade 4 teacher at Miami Country Day School in Florida, worked for 5 years to get solar cookers to a village in Senegal. Her students have learned all about solar cookers and have used videoconferencing to create relationships with students in Senegal who have received the them!

This interesting video, funded by the American Legion and produced by My Hero, tells it all.

Want your students to learn more?

Connect with Rowena and her students via videoconferencing on a Thursday afternoon, beginning April 14th.

To set your date and time, contact Rowena Gerber.
