Wednesday, March 2, at 4:30 p.m.: We need you and your neighbors to attend this RECO meeting and let the City of Hayward know that requiring energy efficiency upgrades is a bad idea! Meeting is held at City Hall, 777 B Street, 2nd floor. A few triggers of the proposed ordinance:
- Point-of-Sale Trigger - Either the seller or the buyer would need to complete energy retrofits either at the time of sale or within two years of of the property being transferred.
- Remodel Trigger - All homeowners planning a remodeling project costing $30,000 or more would be subject to the RECO requirements.
- Date Certain Trigger - All homes in Hayward built prior to 1978 would have to comply with the RECO requirements by a certain date.

Through Thursday March 3rd: Help Hayward's own St. Rose Hospital win a $10K Facebook Contest by voting once a day, every day for Spectacular XXII Gala St. Rose. Just CLICK HERE, scroll down, Click Vote NOW, Click "Allow" and it's done!
