For the longest time, I've been hearing folks talk about "retirement". I've long-thought that Lincoln, California is full of senior citizens.
 
However, looking at the demographics of Lincoln, I see that the largest percentage of residents are those in my own age group (35-44)!  
 
(Forever Young, Alphaville, 1984) It may be a flaw in my generation but I'm not thinking of retirement. Are you? Please share your comments on MY BLOG!

    Proposition 60*
    There are special benefits for homeowners over the age of 55. Under certain circumstances in California, the base-year value of a principal residence can be transferred to a replacement dwelling located in the same county.
     
    A few of the requirements in California for transferring base-year value are as follows:
    • Seller must be at least 55 years of age.
    • The replacement property must be purchased within 2 years of the sale of original residence.
    • The replacement residence must be "equal to or lesser" in market value than the original residence.
    • The claimant and/or claimant's spouse can be granted relief under this section only once.
    Proposition 90*
    Several counties in California will allow for a transfer in base-year values from property sold in other California counties. Counties that will accept base-year values from other areas include:
    • Alameda
    • Los Angeles
    • Orange
    • San Diego
    • San Mateo
    • Santa Clara
    • & Ventura counties
