To increase the transparency of City of Hayward government and foster greater participation and debate by the community, Hayward City Council meetings and work sessions will both now be televised, starting at 7 p.m.

The Hayward Local Agencies Committee (HLAC) meets once a month and joins the forces of the City of Hayward, the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (HARD) and the Hayward Unified School District (HUSD).

Summer Camp Aviation Scholarship for Hayward Students
 
Learn about aviation! Through the Hayward Air Rally, two EAA AirAdventure Scholarships will be awarded to two City of Hayward resident students for this summer's aviation camp. City of Hayward is your Passport Destination!
 
To qualify, students between the ages of 14-18 must complete a written application, including essay and references by March 31, 2010. Two winners will be selected by April 30, 2010.
