Hayward-Yixing China Sister City Formation Committee 
In April, Anna May and several members of the Hayward community traveled to China  to explore a sister city relationship with Yixing, a city outside of Shanghai.

Meet 63-year old Theresa McCurtis! She's been learning to read for the last year as part of the Literacy Tutoring program at our downtown library.
 
Volunteer tutor Barbara Jervis is thrilled with Theresa's progress. Theresa can now read with her grandchildren!
