This collection was inspired by the inner peace that comes from making commitments to walk a higher path through life.

This symbol exemplifies the principle, "Do No Harm." For some it means a firm commitment to practice non-violence in speech and action. For others it means no killing of any living thing for food or sport.
When you use this blessing on water, Ahimsa initiates a resonant field in the water that changes your inner knowing and transforms all action that might otherwise bring harm to any living being, including harm to the self.
When you commit to Ahimsa is it practically impossible to kill anything, including insects, or even live animals for food. The consciousness prevents this action without first a careful examination of one's feelings and motivations about commiting such action.
Ahimsa has been observed in Vedism, Hinduism, and Jainism; and also practiced by vegans who share this moral perspective.
In a broad, expansive application of the term, applying it to the lifestyle in the west, Ahimsa implies we assume a level of consciousness that examines all manner of communication between others in order to transform communication that is inflammatory, derrogatory, rapacious, inciting, or denegrating to anyone or any Other.
Water carries the vibration of Ahimsa to all cells in the body, and moves the energy throughout watercourses and oceans to help influence all people of the world to adopt this philosophy in some way.

Storms often bring blessings that show up in amazing ways.
Today, as I watch a major storm come to a close, I see all the effects of too much water all around me. There is flooding, trees down, roads blocked, and mud slides everywhere. While all this may seem disasterous, disruptive, and frightening, this chaotic situation is actually the leading edge of a spiraling new order set in motion by the storm. There will be new gifts for all - if we are open to them.
In a way, the storms of life are like this too. They disrupt our patterns and spin us in a chaotic direction until we get our bearings. Once we do, we see there is much debris to clear out, but we have gained a burst of energy that helps us power through the task to re-aligning our lives . . .
I mentioned this concept to a friend who reminded me that was a "best-case scenario" response, but that many people don't have the energy or spirit to get through the aftermath of chaos. Some end up buried by the debris for a long time.
After I heard that, I realized my original concept was maybe too optimistic to compare disasters to gifts. While I realize the insight had come from my conversations with water, I second-guessed the wisdom and began to edit it down to a more digestable truth. Try as I might, I couldn't. It was absolutely true in its original simplicity.
Back to the storm . . .
During the storm, I watched the creek next to my house rise rapidly to within ten feet of my deck. There had been a huge log-jam built of forest debris and it was creating a dam causing the water to fill the ravine. I was surprisingly calm (though terrified) as the water rose, praying for a miracle and straining to hear whatever I could hear over the roar of the raging creek. Water whispered to me again, and I heard it. "Not all floods are disasters. Not all that is left behind by a storm is debris." Yes, but was water talking about human or Earth disasters?
Both.
In those hours of rising water, I admit, I was paced and fretted. What should I keep? What could I lose? Could I find another home. A better one? I wondered if I would be in chaos for a while. Did I really have the guts to face the damage by flood water and believe it would bring gifts? (not just write about it?) My car was packed, ready to pull out if the water came much closer, then I noticed that the water began to drain rapidly and move on downstream. I was saved. The log-jam had broken. In those fearful moments waiting for the disaster to really happen, however, I realized something very important. Water's original message gave me the courage to trust whatever may come in the aftermath. That courage, in itself, became a source of the energy I would need once the storm was over. Knowing, really KNOWING, is the energy that initiates the transformation and reveals the gifts.
This may be hard to remember when emotions flood our consciousness or human disasters strike; and our clarity seems blocked by the debris of life. Something will be lost, but something else will be gained. This is assured. This is how we move with grace through the path of life our soul chooses. The rains come and go. The floods build and spill over. The debris is a reminder of our past that tries to flow with us as we go. But once we break-through the log-jam and pull away, the past stays where it belongs . . . in the past, and we get to travel the rest of the way with no baggage to slow our progress or cause more log-jams.
That's how it all balances out. Even when it floods. Even when destruction is everywhere. Even when we think our lives are ruined, gifts still show up.
Gifts after another kind of upheaval . . .
Last month I briefly wrote about our new product offerings. This month, after thinking about some of my recent conversations with water, I realize I need to explain what motivated me to create those new water blessing collections. This is a flood story and a love story.
My partners decided to move in different creative direction with their lives and wanted to end our partnership. My love for this work prevented me from seeing how it could go on without them, But eventually we decided they would maintain the wholesale business and I would emerse myself in the website, newsletter and new products. Thankfully, there was a lot of love between us as we processed all the details, but I had a huge flood of emotions to handle for a long time over this split.
In my new single status, I was immobilized by my sadness and it felt like there had been a death in my heart. A treasure lost. I asked for guidance. I listened to water to comfort me and give me insights. But answers didn't come for a long time so I continued, status quo, with The Spirit of Water just as I had done when our partnership was alive and thriving. I waited and waited for there to be gifts, but they were a long time coming.
I began to hear the first messages from water when I moved near the ocean. "It is time to contribute to a greater expansion of positive energies on the planet." This is where the flood/love story really began. Water urged me to change my own thoughts of "me" blessings into thoughts of "we" insights and blessings.
I didn't start out to create new collections. They created themselves from the messages that came to me gently while listening to water at the ocean or in the creeks flowing through forests around me. Each day, something new would slip into my awareness and I would jot it down in a little notebook. I soon realized I had pages and pages of profoundly simple insights and messages that needed to be shared. It was then I made a decision to create new water blessing labels with keywords from each message I had been given. The keywords are deeply thought-provoking on their own if you allow yourself to feel them beyond the surface; however, the messages that came with them are divinely inspired.
I must admit, as I worked on the project I yearned for my previous creative partnership, but as time went on, I saw the gift in moving ahead alone. Not bound by group decision, I simply let water inspire me and show me what to do next and open my heart to a new direction with the new creations. "Expand consciousness using your own spirit," I heard over and over. Believe me, this is a great insight for all of us. It gave me the courage to open my heart a little more and show more of me with the new messages - the part of me that is crazy in-love with the Earth and Water and speaks love prose to trees and rivers. Or, the part of me that sees miracles in life all the time; or the part of me that falls in love with new ideas and new images. It is all there in those new collections. Water pointed me in the right direction and gave me the insights and through it all, I have been able to shift my focus to a more expansive conscious view about blessing water than I had ever been able to do in the past with partners. The new collections practically created themselves using my hands on the computer keyboard!
What most of you don't know is that my hands and arms have been "impaired" for many years from nerve damage; and usually when I type anything, I have to stop frequently and rest from the pain. When the new messages began to type themselves, I felt no pain at all, and I didn't stop until all the work was done. Spirit had made it possible for me to get through this project. The new collections - WaterPeace, EarthPeace, New Heaven New Earth, Everyday Miracles, and Divine Liberation are the result of the re-creation of my life and my business after the partnership split. After the flood, after the emotions, after the chaos, after the destruction came the gifts.
I learned a lot from water and earth in creating those new collections. I also learned a lot about moving on, leaving the past, and making our lives work well after the chaos has disrupted order.
When we do let our energy burst its containment, (like breaking through a log-jam) it will heal us and help us to move on; and when we do, new treasures will definitely show up. This I know.
Blessed Be!
