How did the rose ever open its heart and give to this world all its beauty? It felt the encouragement of light against its being. Otherwise, we all remain too frightened.

 It's your time to sprout . . .
In the Northern Hemisphere, winter is officially over, and new life is beginning to pulse all around us. Can you feel the beat resonating from the Earth? It beats in our souls, too.
As the thaw begins, fresh energy begins to flow. Water that was stuck frozen now trickles into creeks on its way to oceans. As it moves along, new seeds - new ideas - get nourished. The brilliance of a tiny green bud captures our eye. It is something miraculous! We all agree. Life is precious. Light is precious. Water is precious. WE are precious. New potential is growing inside us as the fresh flow of water and the new spectrum of light forces us to open like a rose against all doubt that the bud will ever produce anything more than a tightly closed and protected form.
The birth of new life replaces all that was lost to the cold of winter. It is time to give our dead cells to the Earth to be used as nutrients for new visions. As the cycle of life accelerates, the sparking of tiny visions cluster together and show us the possibility of full-blown magnificence. We are mesmerized by its brilliance. Do we dare? We long to become that new creation, and yet, we hold back and wait cautiously. Until it is safe. Until we are sure. Until we have proof . . . Until we know we won't die. (Do we also understand that we will die standing still, too?) What is our greatest fear? That we may become that full-blown blossom and feel the embrace of love from all directions? What then?
As much as we try to stay in the same safe place, light and water has already activated a progressive rhythm inside us and there is no turning back. To resist the urge to grow would be to go against a divine and mysterious cycle that has powered life since time began. Who are we to resist the Creator's plan? Who are we to put a rock over the tiny sprouting seed to prevent its growth? That tiny sprout is you, Beloved, and it is within each and all Beloveds on Earth, especially now in the Spring.
All elements on Earth feel the thaw, see the light, and instinctively know it is time for movement. Humanity is the only species on Earth that contemplates and fears change even when the promise of change is infinite love. Can you even imagine that much love?
Using our awareness, not our minds, not our well-developed intelligence, but our instinct, we survey the Spring flow. Water - just like expanded consciousness - has the ability to buoy us up and carry us along toward a larger whole-life experience if we merely lift our feet even a teensy bit from the frozen terrain of our fears. That's all it takes . . . only the the desire.
Scary at first we waiver. What if we lose control? Do we want that? Can we afford to let ourselves be swept away by the strong current of a new life? We realize we have no real anchor. We only have our thoughts that keep us in the same place. Passion wells up again inside us. The light beckons us to open our bud. The water calls our name and fills our cells with new energy. We realize, just now, that we must enter the fast-moving stream of consciousness in order to make it to our destination - the vast Ocean of Love.
Breathlessly we ponder the rewards. And then we jump in. It is done. Nothing can ever keep us from love once we are in the flow. Not any concoctions of man, like politics, money and time. None have any power in the Ocean of Love. We start to relax. The realities of humanity may try to test our mettle. We can survive because we are being carried within a current that is going to a different destination . . . we are well on our way toward the great Mother-body where all possibilities exist.
In the winter, we lose something of ourselves. Death is tragic and cold. In the spring, something new emerges to replace all we lost, plus more . . . and the momentum of the new energy always carries us to new rewards. Our choices are endless and limitless. In the spring, we either become part of the flow and enter passion's stream toward fullness or we whither on the stem without ever knowing what spectacular creation may have blossomed.
Enter the stream, Beloved. It is your time.
