Voice and Speech Research Study
Overview: The National Center for Voice and Speech -Denver is asking individuals with Parkinson's Disease (age range 45-85) to take part in a voice and speech study. 
Purpose: The purpose of the research study is to determine the effects of two different kinds of speech treatment on certain behaviors in individuals with PD. Theses behaviors include speech, voice, related communication behaviors, swallowing and body movement.
Your participation is voluntary. You will be compensated for your participation. All assessments and treatment will be provided at no cost to you. The principal investigator of this study (COMIRB #00-606) is Lorraine Ramig, Ph.D.

Assessing the Effects of a Mass vs. Distributed Schedule for Treadmill Training on Gait and Balance in Patients with Parkinson's disease

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to help the researchers determine; if a specific manner of performing treadmill training improves physical function and decreases risk of falls for people with Parkinson's disease.

New Rhythm & Grace Classes Beginning

Rhythm & Grace- Broomfield begins on February 22nd!
In Rhythm and Grace dance classes, participants explore  movement and music in ways that are enjoyable, stimulating and creative. Dance is appropriate for anyone with PD, no matter how advanced. No dance experience is required to participate in these classes. In chairs, at a barre or moving across the floor, you will explore elements of modern dance, ballet, tap, folk and social dancing in a non-pressured, social environment in which music energizes, enriches and empowers.
