Training News
aprilWe've just programmed our training events for the next year. In addition to two series of our popular four-day Essentials in Sexual Minority Therapy course, we're launching a one-year Certificate in Sexual Minority Therapy for people who wish to specialise in working with gender and sexual minority clients.  There is an early bird discount applying to applicants regustering before the end of June so don't delay, Check the entire list of training events by clicking here.

We are also planning a series of one-day small group seminars for Supervisors of Sexual Minority Therapy, and an advanced training workshop for experienced sex therapists who want to update their knowledge and skills in sexual minority sex therapy.

Space does not permit us to list all the offerings, and it really is an extensive programme of interesting and varied CPD workshops. Places are limited and early booking is advised. There is a discount for booking three or more workshops at once.
BACP Publishes Systematic Review
bac_scopeBACP has just published the results of it's commissioned research into counselling lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.  The research was conducted by Professor Mike King's team at the Royal Free and reviews existing research on counselling and psychotherapy for LGBT clients and draws from studies carried out over the last forty years, describing and evaluating the contribution of different research measures, and identifying future priorities for policy, practice and research.

BACP is keen for the widest possible dissemination for this report and whilst they are charging £8 for a hard copy, they are making it available for free download from their webesite.  Click here to go to the specific page.
