1. 7th Annual Wine Tasting and Silent Auction
Friends of Whitman Park present the 7th Annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction at Whitman Town Hall, 54 South Avenue on November 6th from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 each or 2 for $25 in advanced or $20 at the door. There will be wine and beer distributors as well as food and music. Tickets can be purchased in advanced at at Duval's, Regal Marketplace and Curves of Whitman.
2. Holiday Shopping Event
St. Joseph Manor will hold its 3rd Annual Holiday Shopping Event on Sunday, November 14, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be various vendors selling gifts for the holidays. Some vendors include; Tastefully Simple, Mary Kay, Tupperware and more! There will be will a gift wrapping station available as well as a kid's table. Please come by for one stop shopping, great raffle prizes and to help support St. Joseph Manor, 215 Thatcher Street, Brockton. 3. Adult Scavenger Hunt
McGuiggan's Irish Pub will host an Adult Scavenger Hunt on Sunday, November 14th from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Rules will be distributed at 12:30. The scavenger hunt will be limited to 30 teams of 4. This community spirit event is the precursor to our spectacular Downtown Brockton Holiday Parade on November 27th.Show your Brockton Pride and honor Brockton's own James Edgar, the country's first Department Store Santa! 6. Greater Brockton Holiday Parade
Downtown Brockton Association, Montello Business Association, Campello Business Association and Mayor Linda M. Balzotti and the City of Brockton Present the Greater Brockton Holiday Parade with Grand Marshall - Senator Scott Brown on Saturday, November 27 at 1 p.m.. Free pictures with Santa at will be available at 10 a.m. at 141-143 Main Street and will be sponsored sponsored by Independence Associates & Tuxedos by Merian. City Hall Activities including the Holiday Bazaar will take place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
7. Support Our Troops Dance
Please join us for a dance in support of support of our troops on November 5th from 7 pm - 12 am. 100% of the proceeds will go towards sending packages to our troops. The dance will be held at East Bridgewater Commercial Club, 1 Neilson Ave, East Bridgewater. Light snacks and refreshments will be served. CASH BAR!!! DJ - Raffles - 50/50 - Door prize. 8. "Come Together, Right Now"
What was the Beatles first #1 hit in America? What was the original title of the film "Help!?" Why did the Beatles stop touring? The East Bridgewater Public Library is supporting a FREE presentation by local actor, Mark Cartier. This program is designed for anyone interested in the music of the Beatles. This program is supported in part by a grant from the East Bridgewater Arts Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. 9. Brockton High Jazz Ensemble Pays Tribute to Dick Johnson
The Brockton High School Jazz Ensemble and Friends, under the direction of Vincent Macrina, will present a tribute to Dick Johnson on Sunday, November 7th from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at the Brockton High School Auditorium, Brockton High School Music Dept., 470 Forest Ave. Brockton. All proceeds will be donated to the BHS Band Uniform Fund.
10. Veteran's Day Parade
A Veterans Day Parade will be held on Thursday, November 11th. We will form up at the Brockton Fairgrounds at 9:00 a.m. at the Belmont Street entrance and the parade will start at 10:00 AM. The parade route will proceed down Belmont Street and will then take a left onto Main Street. There will be a brief pause on Main Street at School Street, for the Brockton Fire Fighters Pipe & Drum Band Strand Theater Tribute. It will then proceed down Main Street and take a left on Legion Parkway for a brief ceremony at the Monument to Honor All Veterans.
