 The featured speaker will be Barbara Anthony, Undersecretary, Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation. Anthony was appointed by Governor Deval Patrick in 2009. She has spent her career promoting consumer causes, and is one of the state's most well-known consumer advocates and is a highly respected public interest lawyer. Anthony will address issues around: Data Protection, Health Care and Insurance Cost Management, Foreclosure Prevention and Loan Modification Scans, Credit and Debt Eduction, Auto Insurance and the Managed Competition Marketplace, Home Improvement Contractor Registration and Complaints, and Consumer Protection and Education.  Also speaking will be Glenn Field, Warning Coordination Meteorologist for the National Weather Service Forecast (NWS). NWS provides timely and accurate warnings and forecasts for southern New England and maintains records of climate data. They are a leader in science research, training and outreach. This event is sponsored by Old Colony Elder Services.
