A constant innovator, Mather developed a technical process of firing photographic, video, or computer generated images in glaze on a ceramic body. The images are printed in glaze onto wet clay using a silkscreen before the bisque firing, followed by clear glaze and final firing. The result is an image that seems to emerge from the clay rather than simply printed on the surface, and is capable an astonishing level of detail and clarity.The exhibition runs from October 9 through January 23, 2011, and there is a reception on October 24 from 2-5pm. The Metro South Chamber receives numerous daily requests from new arrivals, tourists and businesses for maps of the area. The first round of maps, produced earlier this year, sold out in 2 months. Due to high demand, the Chamber will be producing a new Brockton Street Map this Fall! The Brockton map is a double sided 4-color process publication containing a street guide, libraries, post offices, police departments, schools, hospitals and more. This year, the back side of the map will contain a restaurant listing of the City of Brockon.
