Wednesday, May 26: The West Bridgewater Public Library is presenting a free program on Wednesday May 26 at 7 PM in the Library Meeting Room, 80 Howard Street, W. Bridgewater, entitled If Laughter is the Best Medicine - Who will administer it? Keynote speaker is Bob "B.B." Widdop, a West Bridgewater resident. For the past 15 years the Clown Care program has been an integral part of Children's Hospital in Boston and 19 major pediatric facilities throughout the country. During this one hour presentation, professional family entertainer, Bob " B.B." Widdop will be sharing some of the wonderful moments of his career that combine together the full spectrum of the performing circus arts with the medical sciences; bringing measurable and immeasurable results of this funny business.

Monday, July 19: 17th Annual OE+ Charity Golf Tournament to benefit the Brockton Area Arc at the Fall River Country Club, 4235 North Main Street, Fall River. Registration and contests will take place from 12-1pm with the shotgun start at 1:15pm, cocktails and 6pm, and dinner and awards at 6:45pm. Cost per player is $175 which includes golf, cart, dinner, goodie bag and entry into the "skins" contest. May 24-July 31, Crescent Credit Union second annual summer food drive to benefit food pantries in the communities it serves. Brockton Mayors Task Force Findings
Mayor Linda M. Balzotti announced today that the five citizen-led task
forces she established have reported out their findings. The task forces addressed the issues of Public Safety, Street Violence, Education, Economic Growth and Housing and Neighborhood Stabilization. Beginning Friday, April 16, 2010, the report of each task force will be made available to the public on the city's website, www.brockton.ma.us. Using the website, residents will
be able to read the reports and submit their comments (in addition, reports will be available in PDF-form for downloading).
