The Metro South ChamBill beyersber (designer Alison van Dam) has designed and produced a new street map of Brockton. The new Brockton map features street listings, libraries, hospitals, schools, police stations, post offices, and more. The reverse side of the map features landmarks of Brockton painted by local artist Bill Beyer. Bill Beyer has won many national awards, including the Grumbacher-Kol-I-Noor Award, and he has been nominated Elder-prenuer of 1996 by the John Hancock Company in Boston. In an effort to support loved ones caring for those that are diagnosed with cancer, Signature Healthcare is offering a Caregiver support group facilitated by Marie E. Albert, RN, Patient Navigator. Brockton Mayors Task Force Findings
Mayor Linda M. Balzotti announced today that the five citizen-led task
forces she established have reported out their findings. The task forces addressed the issues of Public Safety, Street Violence, Education, Economic Growth and Housing and Neighborhood Stabilization. Beginning Friday, April 16, 2010, the report of each task force will be made available to the public on the city's website, www.brockton.ma.us. Using the website, residents will
be able to read the reports and submit their comments (in addition, reports will be available in PDF-form for downloading).
