Community Development & Small Business Roundtable Monday, January 25, 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm Fuller Craft Museum, Brockton
Brockton businesses are invited to take place in a roundtable discussion with State Representative Christine Canavan.
Representative Canavan has been
touring the Commonwealth for the past few months meeting with small business
leaders in different regions throughout the state in order to gain a better-understanding of the things
that are working for businesses, as well as their challenges. By doing this, the
legislature looks to build upon its partnership with the small business
community in order to spur job growth and ensure a successful-and
sustainable-economic recovery.
We hope that your schedule allows you to attend the roundtable
discussion to discuss our ongoing, collective efforts to grow Brockton's small
business community and support sustainable economic development in our great
city. This roundtable is open to the general public and the entire business
community, so we'd love for your help in promoting it and making sure that the
members of the legislature are able to get a real feel for the heart and soul
of Brockton's small business community.

 Take the Sustainability Survey
A recent study revealed that 83%
of consumers say it is somewhat or very important to them to purchase products
and services from responsible, sustainable companies, but few companies know
how to improve sustainability performance and communicate their green and
sustainable efforts to customers and employees.
The Metro South Chamber has partnered with Green Plus (www.gogreenplus.org) to announce a new initiative which will allow businesses to achieve a credible "green" certification in order to convey their commitment to responsible and sustainable operations. Please complete a brief survey on sustainability so that the Chamber may assess the needs of the business community and help to increase knowledge, community engagement, environmental impact and business success.
