Breathtaking scenery, 5 star hotels, unique excursions, and a fun, spontaneous, interesting, group: the makings of a sensational Zoom Vacation in Guatemala.

Zoom Guatemala introduced our travelers to centuries-old ruins, Central America's most beautiful city, incredible authentic cuisine, plus excursions designed with fun in mind. Travelers had two Zoom Concierges to handle any needs and to make sure the trip was as carefree and fun as possible for our travelers.

But don't take our word for it. The following are a few emails we received days following the trip

Many thanks go to Bryan & Joel for creating such a memorable experience. Our trip to Guatemala was a perfect blend of activities that made the whole thing truly enjoyable! Their planning and extensive connections gave us the opportunity to experience things you may not see anywhere else, and the quality of the accommodations, tour guides, and activities on the trip is beyond compare! These trips will leave you wanting to plan your next Zoom vacation before your first one is even over.-- Jason, Washington, DC

I wanted to say thanks so much for making a fun and memorable trip. I could never have imagined that a trip to Guatemala could be so enjoyable. It was the perfect blend of gay socializing and must-see touring.--Jerry, New Jersey

I wanted to tell you that the trip to Guatemala was terrific. Thanks for all the work that you all put into planning it. After seeing a few more new places, I can definitely see going back>--Jeff, Washington, DC

    Zooming With Joel

You ask the question, he'll provide the answer!

Our Chief Travel Officer, Joel Cabrera, gets a number of travel-related questions every week. Email your travel question to Joel, and your question may be featured in the newsletter. Joel answers those travel questions that have kept you in quandary for far too long.

    Question:

Ted from Dallas asks: "What is one place I should go before I die?"

    Answer:

Dear Ted, Ah, right to the point. I could give several answers to this question, but the first place that came to my mind was Machu Picchu. It's mystical, spiritual, cultural, adventuresome, and most of all-- stunningly beautiful. Machu Picchu has the ability to stay in a travelers thoughts long after the trip is over, and some people who visit Machu Picchu feel a sense of "awakening" when they return. These are some of many reasons why we offer it as a Zoom destination. Our trip blends the spiritual adventure and beauty of the destination with extreme luxury. It's really amazing.

Besides Machu Picchu, here are five other destinations and experiences you should check into before you "check out". Of course I could include a list of hundreds here.

    1. Dance the Tango in Buenos Aires

    2. Go on an African Safari.

    3. Experience Rio's Carnaval.

    4. Spend at least a week in Bali, Indonesia.

    5. Visit Venice (as soon as possible).

Featured Travelers: Pablo Albani and Julian Hayward of NYC and the Bahamas

What do you get when you mix an intellectual man with the sexiest British accent you've ever heard with a witty, charming man exuding boyish good looks? You get the dynamic duo of Pablo and Julian, two Zoom travelers who joined our Costa Rica vacation in late April.

Zoom Costa Rica was the start of a several week long global journey which included Africa, Asia, and more. Pablo made some time while traveling in South Africa to talk about his experiences with travel and especially Zoom Vacations.

When asked what he and Julian enjoy about traveling, Pablo said, "We travel for the adventure, incredible vistas, and to be able to experience the many different cultures that are out there."

Just during their current trip alone they have immersed themselves in small villages, huge metropolises, tropical jungle communities, and even a safari in South Africa. While nature is certainly a passion of theirs, they also have a great appreciation of civilization.

"I love design and architecture," Pablo said. "It is amazing what our ancestors accomplished with what they had."

So why do two people like Julian and Pablo travel with Zoom Vacations anyway? "We took the trip with Zoom because we had heard so many nice things about the tour," Pablo said. "People always come back from a Zoom trip wanting more. I guess what is nice is their attention to detail and how nicely packed it is. You basically just have to show up and they take care of everything."

Pablo also said that traveling as part of a gay group made he and Julian feel as though they could be themselves. Plus, they made many new friends.

"Besides the different activities, we enjoyed the camaraderie that was formed within the group. It was as if a bunch of friends decided to go on vacation together," Pablo said.

When asked if they would be taking another Zoom Vacation, Pablo didn't miss a beat with his response.

"Rio!" He said, "The New Years package to Rio de Janeiro sounds fabulous to us. What an incredible time that must be!"

Pablo and Julian, we look forward to seeing you in Brazil!
