VisionPoint

May 2012
Greetings!

We'd like to share with you an exciting space VisionPoint designed and installed.
View From The Bench

This three room divisible space enables this law firm to put on a grand "performance" that can be shared live or replayed on demand using the integrated video and audio capture technology within each of the spaces.  The in wall cameras capture the action in each of the environments individually or simultaneously.  The rooms can be  divided, combined and reconfigured easily to accomodate a traditional meeting, a mock trial, a legal deposition or any other legal  or business proceeding.  The seating and table configuration provides for the flexibility to reorient the room to the particular meeting requirements.

Measurable Results

VisionPoint increased customer satisfaction by focusing its attention on the business requirements of the firm.  Over the past several months the technology has spawned more creative client requirements, including live streaming of mock trials and deposition recording.

It is exciting to see a customer take a basic meeting environment and turn it into an electronic media management system used to improve litigation preparation, to enhance the understanding of different legal strategies and to expand services for their clients through a reviewable medium that enables the sharing of information for instructional, consultative and informational purposes.

Getting Started

As with every project, we analyze our customer's business objectives.  We gather information from our customers to understand their business needs and understand their difficulties.  Often times, with a firm that has some basic technology deployed within their institution, our conversations reveal comments such as:

  • It never works right
  • It is difficult to use
  • It is un-reliable when you need it
  • Can't dial a simple conference call

Sometimes these experiences and state of mind are difficult to overcome within the user community.  So it is important for VisionPoint to understand: Who manages the technology, who understands the technological needs for the different types of meetings, who is selecting the environment based on the meeting requirements, what is the current process to determine the internal customer's expectations, how are successes and failures currently identified, how are improvements in delivery and successes measured to ensure future investments actually improve the experience and productivity.

What does VisionPoint do to answer some of these questions:

  • Survey the institution's team of users in each area
  • Identify the institution's core objectives
  • Recommend technology that is easy to use
  • Design an approach that would allow future growth
  • Provide documentation and training to the end users
