Cashew nuts, native to equatorial South America, are actually seeds, found growing on the end of the "cashew apple." The cashew apple is an edible and nutrient-rich South American treat that is too fragile to export to North America or Europe. 
 
Cashew nuts contain 5 g of protein for every ounce, as well as 82.5 mg (21 percent of daily intake) of magnesium, which protects against high blood pressure and works with calcium to promote strong bone structure. To learn more about Cashews, click here and click the video link above.
