Lucy Walker (Boston College Law School '13)
California Indian Legal Services

Lucy Walker, one of the 2012 Dan Bradley Scholarship recipients, was working this summer at California Indian Legal Services

"Just a few weeks into my summer with California Indian Legal Services and I am already waist-deep in memo writing and client correspondence. Working at CILS has given me a real appreciation for the difficulties faced by American Indians in rural California reservations and Rancherias. While working with our clients to try to overcome some of these obstacles can be both stressful and frustrating, I end each work day with the feeling that I have really helped someone whose legal problems would never have crossed my radar in an urban Massachusetts!"

LAAC Advocacy

LAAC continues to update our Current Advocacy page (http://laaconline.org/currentadvocacy) with the status of this session's bills.

For the 2012 election, LAAC has compiled information pertinent to legal services, including what non profit employees can and cannot do at work regarding elections. This page will continue to be updated up until the 2012 elections. For more information, click here
