"The Equine Veterinarian"

The AFA is excited to learn about a new publication that will be produced by the same company that will be creating our 2012 Convention Program.  "The Equine Veterinarian" will be a great way to keep the lines of communication between the farriers and the veterinarians open.  Click here to learn more:

Farrier Community Loses an Icon

Long time AFA member and author, Scott Simpson passed away on Sadie Hawkins Day, leaving a big void in our hearts and our membership.  We send sincere condolences to his family.

The SECRET Is OUT!
In addition to the regular No Foot, No Horse Newsletter, members will now enjoy exclusive content not available in printed form by experiencing your favorite magazine in a whole new way.  Start enjoying the enhanced Digital Edition of Professional Farrier beginning in April.  Professional Farrier will be published six times per year in digital media format.  For article submission and general information please contact Deb Ash at indy.sterling@gmail.com.  For advertising contact Dick Booth at bocapublishing@bellsouth.net.

Alabama Professional Farriers Association Steals the Show!
Thank you to the Alabama Professional Farriers Association for an outstanding job of hosting the 2012 AFA Convention.  Special thanks to Phillip Box and all the folks who made this event go off without a hitch! Thanks to Greg Johnson, Eric Nygaard and the Convention Coordinating Committee for another stellar Convention.  The AFA thanks Rachel Heighton, Liz Lamb and all our other numerous volunteers for their hard work in making this a top notch event!
Vern Hornquist Class
The AFA would like to thank all those who participated in the Vern Hornquist Class!  This class requires all participants to be over the age of 65, and it is always a top draw for the spectators.
