Do You Speak or Read Another Language?

As we prepare for the Feast of Pentecost, we recall the gift of the Holy Spirit.  The first disciples experienced this by understanding languages they had never before learned.  If you are able to read or speak a language other than English, please contact Mother Susan in order to participate in the proclamation of the lessons on Pentecost, when we will experience the gift of multiple languages proclaiming the Word of the Lord.   Fluency is not needed.  One merely needs to be able to read aloud in a different language.

Confirmation on Sunday, May 27th

The Rite of Confirmation will be celebrated here on Sunday, May 27th, the Feast of Pentecost at the 10 am service.  We are honored to welcome the Rt. Rev. Herbert H. Donovan, who will preach and preside at the liturgy.  Bishop Donovan is the Deputy to the Presiding Bishop for Anglican Communion Relations. He has served the Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion in various capacities, including: Interim Anglican Observer to the United Nations, Executive Director of the Compass Rose Society of the Anglican Communion, Assisting Bishop of the diocese of New Jersey, Provisional Bishop of the Diocese of Chicago.
