Celebrating the Eucharist

Fr. Malloy, our Theologian in Residence, is recognized as one of the finest pastoral liturgists in America, and his book Celebrating the Eucharist, is used by clergy and lay people who plan worship, and by people who seek to better understand the richness of our tradition of common prayer.

For those who are interested, we have several copies of the book available for sale for $24 each.  Please contact the office to reserve an autographed copy 908-766-2282 or office@sjotm.org.

Adult Education: Learning in Lent

Immediately following the 10:00 am celebration of the Eucharist, we will gather for Adult Education.

In the weeks of Lent, we will learn some of the basics of our tradition and its liturgy,  and prepare, as a community, to celebrate the Triduum, the three holy days of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Great Vigil of Easter, which are the center days of the Church year. Activities for children will be available so that parents can attend.  The entire community is invited and encouraged to participate in this unique opportunity.

Evening Prayer on Tuesdays: Praying in Lent

On Tuesdays evenings at 6:00 pm,  the community will gather for Evening Prayer in the Chapel, followed by a simple pot-luck supper. Members of our community will preside at this simple service of prayer. Bring a dish to share for supper, and come and allow the word of God to wash over you, and pray with the assembled community, as our ancestors did before us.
