Tickets will be sold for $10 a piece or three for $25. All proceeds will be split 50/50. Our goal is to raise $10,000. As an FYI - The nursery school playground, that is on the lower-level, is designed and built for pre-school aged children and, is not appropriate for the elementary-aged kids of our parish, hence the need for our own equipment. Tickets can be purchased on Sundays during coffee hour or stop by the office Monday-Thursday between 8:00am - 3:00pm. The drawing will be held during the Parish Picnic on Sunday, June 12th. Click here for more information. Save the Date for Some Cinco de Mayo Fun! Come to FIESTA CINCO DE MAYO on Friday, May 6th, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Parish Hall. Believe it or not, our Cinco de Mayo Spring Fundraiser is just around the corner! Join the fun while you enjoy fabulous Tex-Mex hors d'oeuvres, including award winning chili made by our own Chef Joe Ray!! Taste refreshing Margaritas, Sangria, and Mexican beer as you listen to festive music and stroll through our Mexican Marketplace. Purchase handmade treasures from Colonial Mexico brought to you by Talaverica. Choose from an assortment of hand-blown glass, Talavera pottery, artisan copper and Mexican sterling silver jewelry. St. Johns will earn a percentage of the sales made at the Fiesta. In addition, there will be a Wine-Pull with each bottle of wine guaranteed to be worth $20 or more. On the night of the event, the wine bottles will be wrapped in festive tissue paper so their identity is unknown. Each bottle will be numbered and the corresponding number of corks will be put in a bowl; i.e. if there are 30 bottles of wine there will be 30 corks numbered from 1 - 30 in the bowl. For $25 you get to "pull" a cork out of the bowl. If the number 5 is on the cork then you will get the wine bottle that has the number 5 on it. For a preview of the wines that will be in the pull, visit the small table just outside the doors to the Parish Hall. This will be an exciting way to try a new wine and support St. Johns at the same time! Now is the time to send in your response card and invite your friends for fellowship and fun, while supporting our church! Click here for more information.
