Difficulties with Learning Can Be Overcome

A huge data base in Educational Neuroscience is providing new evidence that outcomes due to learning disabilities, developmental delays, and even low cognitive ability can be changed and improved.

The idea that the brain is plastic and that its performance can be improved by targetted interventions has been central to all programs at the Vancouver Learning Centre for more than 30 years.

New research findings and the advancing technology of brain imaging used in the emerging discipline of Educational Neuroscience are validating that targetted intense interventions are changing and improving the brain itself. To learn more about these findings and the implications for children, youth and young adults read more.
