You can view, download, and print your Annual Loan Activity Statements and IRS Forms 1098 and 1099 on Account Access. Just go to the CFC website, login to Account Access, and click on the links at the top of the page. Don't use Account Access yet? Just go to the CFC website, click on "Account Access," and choose "Sign Up." It's quick, easy, and free!

Carolina Farm Credit recently recognized 19 service centers with "Profit-A-Bell" awards for outstanding

performance. The awards (real working cow bells) were presented to service centers that increased their profitability through enhanced sales efforts and increased efficiency

4-H Farm Credit Showmanship Circuit Winners

The 4-H Farm Credit Showmanship Circuit is co-sponsored by Carolina Farm Credit and Cape Fear Farm Credit. Participants age 5-19 years get an opportunity to show at several local county shows and the points add up towards an overall Division Champion. Click here to read more.

Hillsborough Service Center Charity Donation Featured in  Orange County Newspaper
Kent Davis, Loan Officer in the Hillsborough service center recently delivered a check to Meals on Wheels of Orange County and the photo was featured in The News of Orange paper. Click here to see the photo. The donation was made as a part of the charitable contributions made by Carolina Farm Credit employees and Board members in 2011.

Social Media Workshop for Farmers 
Carolina Farm Stewardship Association (CFSA) is offering Social Media for Farmers workshops designed especially to help farmers reach new customers and expand their farm businesses. Dates and locations are listed below. All workshops are limited to 25 participants to allow for hands-on, one-on-one training.  Click here for more information and to register.

Grants Available 

Renewable Energy Grants Available for WNC Farmers:  

This grant (funded by the NC Tobacco Trust Fund) provides 40% cost-share funds to western North Carolina farmers implementing renewable energy on their farms. For more information click here or call (828) 649-3313 x5. Applications are due Dec. 31, 2012.

 

Grant Applications Available for Value-Added Equipment for Producers/Processors:

The North Carolina Value-Added Cost Share Program (NCVACS) is accepting applications for the 2012 funding cycle for value-added equipment for producers and processors. Click here for applications, which are due March 1, 2012.

A Christmas Tree's Remarkable Journey 
This article follows journey of one tree, that started out at Barr Evergreens in Ashe County, which is owned by Carolina Farm Credit member Rusty Barr; and the story of all the trees that make the unlikely but entirely common journey from forest to family room. One year ago, in the weeks before Christmas, the writer made that trip in the company of a particular seven-foot Fraser fir. And along the way, met the people that put the trees in Christmas, and the moments that put Christmas in trees.

Brenda Vickrey, CFC Loan Officer, Lexington and Ron Joines, Leasing Relationship Manager spoke about CFC's loan programs and leasing programs at the January Davidson County Horsemen's Association meeting, held at the Ag Center in Lexington. The meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
