Otoe County CASA will offer the "Darkness to Light" prevention and response program for adults to prevent child sexual abuse on Monday, June 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the Nebraska City Center for Children and Families, a light meal will be provided.   Carrie Simpson from the Child Advocacy Center will present the training.

The program raises awareness of child sexual abuse by educating adults about the seven steps we can take to prevent, recognize and react to the reality of child sexual abuse.

Area professionals and volunteers who work with children are encouraged to participate.  Continuing Education Credits are available for daycare and foster care providers through University of Nebraska Extension. This training usually involves a $15 registration fee, but local people will be able to register for no charge thanks to Otoe County CASA and a grant from the Nebraska Crime Commission.   To register or get more information, call 402-873-6343 or email otoe.casa@windstream.net.
