Special Enforcement Operation Begins May 24th - Drive Safely!
The Nebraska City Police Department, Otoe County Sheriff's Department and the Nebraska State Patrol will be out in force May 24th through June 6th in a statewide effort to increase seat belt use and decrease driving under the influence. The operation fits well with the Nebraska City Police Department's goal to step up enforcement of impaired driving, where arrest rates increased by over 400% between 2008 and 2009.
