Student Volunteers Receive Scholarshipsgraqduation
Nebraska City High School Class of 2010 graduates Benjamin Rice and Tristin Fox have each been awarded $250 scholarships from Partners for Otoe County in recognition of their outstanding leadership in the area community service in their schools, churches and communities.  Mr. Rice has been involved in the PACT program through his high school years, working to change policies in the community that will lead to a reduction in underage drinking.  During his senior year he began serving as a member of the Partners for Otoe County Board of Directors.  Tristin Fox has been a tutor while in high school, providing one-on-one tutoring in reading and math for an elementary student with the Study Buddies Tutoring Program.  Listen for Benjamin and Tristin's voices this week on KNCY radio as they urge fellow classmates and thier families to have a safe, fun and alcohol-free graduation celebration.

Partners for Otoe County expresses its appreciation to all of the graduating seniors who volunteered their service for youth and families in Otoe County, including:  D.J. DuVall, Jr., Nebraska City High School; Preston Kellum, Brizett Cole, and Nate Stillmock, Syracuse High School; and Kristi  Dawson and Alexis Calfee Palmyra High School.
