RCTV Answers Producers' Behind-the-Scenes Questions
Spotlight
Dear RCTV-15,
Sometimes when I've logged and captured files from my camera to Final Cut Pro, the file seems to disappear although it looks like the function is working fine.  What's up with this?
~ David P.

Dear David,
You are  probably skipping an important first step in Final Cut Pro. When you log in to Final Cut Pro each time, you must set up System Preferences in order to ensure your files will be saved where you want them.  Otherwise, Final Cut Pro may save them to the desktop or wherever the prior editor was saving his or her files. If this continues to happen, be sure to see our post-production experts in the editing lab.

Thanks for sharing your question.
