| Celebrating Australia Year Program

I'm celebrating the completion of the first year of our immersion program in Sydney, Australia. We just had finished our 3rd retreat and I'm feeling heartened and encouraged hearing participants sharing about significant changes in their lives and plans to self-organize to keep the skills, practice and community alive and growing. Ike and I are currently planning the 2nd year of training there.

| | Mediating from the Inside Out, Germany

Ike and I are doing a 5-day training in Germany at the end of the month. The theme is "mediating from the inside out." What particularly excites me about this is finding within ourselves the conflicts we are having externally with others. In other words, if I am in conflict with someone and having judgments and "enemy images" of them, can I find the conflict within myself, between different parts of me? My experience is that we can. Looking at conflicts this way offers the possibility for greater self-awareness and personal growth, and also a powerful way to transform disconnection with others into connection and compassion

| | Interpersonal Mediation Skills for Ministers and Religious Leaders

Lori Woodley and I are doing a training for ministers and religious leaders in April in Kansas City, Missouri. This is fulfilling a dream of mine to bring NVC to religious and spiritual practice and make a contribution in these communities who in turn have such impact on the cultures we live within.
