Also known as the "Mrs. Ketterman Necklace", these little gemstone pendants get more compliments than any of Mrs. Ketterman's jewelry.  Her necklace started with Dan, Tammi and six girls, and has grown to include four sons-in-law and three grand-children.  Her necklace has a special centerpiece created just a few years ago by Dan as a gift - her original engagement diamond suspended between her and Dan's pendants. 

   The pendants were originally designed to allow ladies to color-match their jewelry day to day. Ketterman's liked the variety and quality of the pieces, and they sold well. Shortly after we started with the line, a representative from the company asked how we were selling so many, and Tammi explained the concept of creating a portrait of the family in gold and gemstones.  Tammi then spoke to the designer about expanding the collection to include all of the birth stones, which they did.  Since then the line has expanded to include five different styles - which can be used to distinguish generations- in all of the traditional birthstones. 

   One of our favorite experiences is to see a father of a new baby, hospital bracelet still intact, on a visit to add to his family-especially when it's a repeat trip.  One customer in particular doesn't let his wife leave the hospital without her new baby, on the necklace, that is. 

   Another favorite opportunity to provide the Mother's necklace is when a whole family designs a piece together- when brothers and sisters, sons and daughters go in together to purchase "themselves" for a multi-generational necklace.  It has been such a joy to watch customers' families grow over the years, in person, and in jewelry, and we look forward to many years of future growth.
